You are an expert in your medical field. But is your expertise translating effectively in a legal setting?

A deposition or trial testimony is not a medical discussion. It is a high-stakes, formal process where the rules are different, the language is precise, and every word matters. An aggressive attorney can easily twist your words, take statements out of context, and make even the most seasoned physician feel uncertain.

Your medical reputation is on the line. Your testimony can be the deciding factor in a case. You don’t have to face it unprepared.

I offer a confidential, one-on-one preparation service designed specifically for physicians who are scheduled to provide sworn testimony. We will work together to ensure you can communicate your medical knowledge with clarity, confidence, and precision.

Why Train With Me?

I am not just a career consultant; I am a practicing physician who has been in your exact position.

I have spent years navigating the intersection of medicine and law. My experience is not theoretical; it is built on practical, real-world application.

  • I have been qualified as an expert witness in both state and federal courts.
  • I have written 500+ accepted reports in legal cases, IMEs, and QMEs.
  • I have successfully completed hundreds of sworn testimonies, including high-pressure depositions and in-court trial appearances.
  • I have been a medical director, clinical advisor, and expert witness mentor for over a decade.

I understand the tactics used by attorneys, the common pitfalls physicians fall into, and, most importantly, how to translate complex medical knowledge into clear, concise, and defensible testimony.

What Our Session(s) Will Cover

Our preparation is tailored to your specific case and needs. Key areas we will focus on include:

  • Mastering the “Rules of the Game”: Understanding the critical differences between a deposition and a trial, and the objective of the attorneys.
  • Answering with Precision: How to listen to the exact question, answer only that question, and avoid the trap of volunteering excess information.
  • The “I don’t know” and “I don’t recall” Toolkit: Using these essential phrases appropriately and confidently.
  • Handling Aggressive Cross-Examination: Techniques to remain calm, professional, and in control, even when facing a hostile attorney.
  • Bridging the Knowledge Gap: Learning to explain complex medical concepts to a lay jury without oversimplifying or being condescending.
  • Mock Testimony & Feedback: We will conduct realistic Q&A sessions based on your case so you can practice and refine your responses in a safe environment.
